Nippon Telegraph Net Down; Sumitomo Trust Sales Fall 19%

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation fiscal year 2010 revenues fell 2% to ¥10.2 trillion and net profit fell 8.6% to ¥492.3 billion. The Sumitomo Trust and Banking Company, Limited fiscal year 2010 revenues fell 19% to ¥859.6 billion and net profit rose 569% to ¥53.2 billion.

 
7:15 PM Tokyo, Japan - Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation revenue fell 2% and net profit fell 8.6%. The Sumitomo Trust and Banking Company, Limited revenue fell 19% and net profit rose 569%.

Mizuho Financial Group, Inc, the bank said fiscal year 2010 revenues fell 20% to ¥2.82 trillion from ¥3.51 trillion a year ago. Net profit in the year was ¥239.4 billion or ¥15.57 per diluted share compared to net loss of ¥588.8 billion a year ago.

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, the provider of fixed and mobile voice related services said fiscal year 2010 revenues fell 2% to ¥10.2 trillion from ¥10.4 trillion a year ago. Net profit in the year fell 8.6% to ¥492.3 billion compared to net profit of ¥538.7 billion a year ago.

The company forecasts revenues for the fiscal year ending March 2011 around ¥10.2 trillion and net profit around ¥500.0 billion.

The Sumitomo Trust and Banking Company, Limited, the bank said fiscal year 2010 revenues fell 19% to ¥859.6 billion from ¥1.06 trillion a year ago. Net profit in the year rose 569% to ¥53.2 billion compared to net profit of ¥7.95 billion a year ago.

The company forecasts revenues for the fiscal year ending March 2011 around ¥920.00 billion and net profit around ¥60.0 billion.

The Sumitomo Trust and Banking Company, Limited, in the last one year traded as high as ¥601.00 in April 2010 and as low as ¥434.00 in July 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of ¥536.00 the company has market cap of ¥897.57 billion.
